This course is designed for any employee that has been designated an Appointed Person and is ideal for small businesses or as a back up for cover for more qualified first aiders.

RCT Energy in the Community Event 5th July - Porth
Do not miss out on a unique opportunity - first ever RCT Energy in the Community Event & Workshops which are being held at the Factory, Porth on morning of the 5th July.
The purpose of the event is:
- To generate undertanding: Raise awareness amongst SME’s, Social Enterprises, community groups and partner organisations in RCT of the work that is being undertaken by the Public, Private and Voluntary sector to reduce emissions in people homes and community buildings and generate an income through renewable energy schemes and associated activities.
- To generate opportunties: Foster greater levels of partnership working between these bodies and help to ensure a more strategic approach to energy in the community within the framework of the Single Integrated Plan for RCT.
The main content of the day will mainly comprise a series of workshops which will each run twice exploring the opportunities for SME’s and Social Enterprises to work together in the following areas:
- Behaviour Change, Energy Efficiency and Energy Generation
- The Business and Community Benefits of Commercial Wind Projects
- Renewable Energy Schemes and the Management of Corporate Estates
- Green Skills Training and the Development of a Low Carbon Economy
- Finance, Funding, Advice and Support for Community Energy
- Do we want a Community Energy Company for RCT?
